They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The Jones value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A real need, handled.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cooper Beebe. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A tidy bit of business in pick No. 70, where Kingsley Suamataia graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A tidy little value on Braelon Allen in the 112th overall pick, a step better than break-even. The roster fit checks out.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Roger Rosengarten in the 141st pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jarrian Jones in No. 183 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Kamal Hadden at slot 208 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Myles Harden is a better player than the Round 7 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Johnny Dixon in Round 7, Pick 9, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
