They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Caden Curry, 41 picks early at the 90th overall pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Landing Stowers that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th pick they get a long-term starter on the line, reach and all.
In No. 30 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Nice patience on Chris Johnson, who had no business lasting to pick 43. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They will replay Eli Stowers at the 75th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Elijah Sarratt slid further than he should have, and pick No. 87 is lovely value for the wide receiver. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Caden Curry well ahead of where he belonged. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Brenen Thompson in slot 94 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They paid a round early for Jakobe Thomas in the 130th pick, more than the board wanted. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Zxavian Harris at No. 151 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Good price on Thaddeus Dixon in pick No. 227, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
They jumped the gun on Bryce Foster, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It fills a real need, too.
