The rest of the league had time to spare on JT Daniels; the Patriots did not wait, grabbing him 141 spots ahead at the Round 7 slot.

Sanders falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

In short, a weekend the front office will want to forget in a hurry.
