Cleveland Browns

The Browns lost the trade table, and the C- tells the story.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Browns did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

The cost of the Miller reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Love value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

If Jeremiyah Love and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.18 · Pick 18 · Jeremiyah Love · RB · rank 2
In the 18th pick they get an every-down engine for the run game at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
R1.20 · Pick 20 · Jordyn Tyson · WR · rank 21
In pick 20 they get a difference-maker at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
R1.24 · Pick 24 · Blake Miller · OT · rank 46
In No. 24 they get a building block for the line, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
R3.10 · Pick 74 · Zachariah Branch · WR · rank 65
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Zachariah Branch at pick No. 74 is the proof. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R5.12 · Pick 152 · Drew Allar · QB · rank 158
Drew Allar in Round 5, Pick 12 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
