Green Bay Packers

More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

The Packers' one glaring miss is edge rusher, a need they left exactly as they found it.

However the rest shakes out, Melton at that price is a win they earned. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Cooper DeJean · CB · rank 26
In No. 25 they get an island corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Jordan Morgan · OT · rank 37
Fair-plus on Jordan Morgan, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Junior Colson · LB · rank 52
Junior Colson at Round 2, Pick 26 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Max Melton · CB · rank 76
A quiet steal in pick 88: Max Melton for less than the market said. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Calen Bullock · S · rank 83
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Calen Bullock at pick No. 91 is the proof. A minor itch, scratched.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Blake Fisher · OT · rank 118
Nice patience on Blake Fisher, who had no business lasting to the 126th pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
