You could see the war room lean forward. Kiran Amegadjie at the Round 3 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a lockdown presence outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jackson Powers-Johnson at Round 2, Pick 9. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Payton Wilson in the 58th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Calen Bullock in pick 88 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Somehow Kiran Amegadjie was still sitting there in slot 91, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Ben Sinnott at No. 126 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
