The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Rosemy-Jacksaint at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 9 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 6 they get the face of the franchise. A real need, handled.
They read the board right and Jordan Morgan was the payoff at the 39th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Troy Fautanu in pick No. 47 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Taking Kiran Amegadjie in the 70th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A slide stopped in No. 108, with Blake Fisher worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Tommy Eichenberg slid further than he should have, and Round 5, Pick 4 is lovely value for the linebacker. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
You do not let a wide receiver like Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint reach the Round 6 slot and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
