Everything else got attention, and interior defensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Giants to leave a draft. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Landing Morgan that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
No drama and no debate, Rome Odunze went about where he belonged in the 10th pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Bo Nix slid further than he should have, and slot 39 is lovely value for the quarterback. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Value with a capital V on Jordan Morgan in No. 47, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They let Javon Bullard come to them and pounced at Round 3, Pick 6. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Trey Benson is a better player than the Round 4 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jaylin Simpson in the 140th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Caedan Wallace at pick No. 185 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid sticker price for Zion Tupuola-Fetui in pick 187, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
