The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Dolphins watched Bhayshul Tuten slide 94 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
Reaching for Rourke left real value on the table behind him. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 30 they get a true top target at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
A wild overpay on Donovan Ezeiruaku in Round 2, Pick 17, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Kurtis Rourke in pick No. 97 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
TreVeyon Henderson in the 99th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jake Majors at slot 116 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They barely believed it either: Mason Taylor still on the board at the Round 5 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Danny Stutsman at No. 154 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The roster fit checks out.
A big swing on Garrett Dellinger at the 224th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Le'Veon Moss in the 231st pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Steal is underselling it; Bhayshul Tuten at Round 7, Pick 35 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
