Call it larceny. Denzel Burke sat on the board until pick 83, and the Packers did not need to be asked twice.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th overall pick they get a disruptor off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Emeka Egbuka at pick No. 40 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Value with a capital V on Troy Fautanu in Round 2, Pick 19, a genuine coup. A need, and now a little less of one.
They barely believed it either: Denzel Burke still on the board at slot 83. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reasonable price with a little left over, TreVeyon Henderson in No. 88. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
