Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Johnny Dixon, the No. 191 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 245.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Grable pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
