The Packers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 255 on Kedon Slovis a full 49 spots early. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The Johnson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a potential shutdown corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Good price on Javon Bullard in pick 45, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A reach for Kiran Amegadjie in slot 58; a little patience would have been rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Christian Mahogany in the 88th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Cedric Gray at the Round 3 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.

Trevin Wallace at pick 245 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
A big swing on Kedon Slovis at the 255th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
