Future A+

The rest of the league will want that one back. Kenyon Sadiq tumbling to the Cowboys in slot 218 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · David Bailey · LB-EDGE · rank 5
In the 12th overall pick they get a disruptor off the edge. More want than need.
R3.31 · Pick 95 · Mansoor Delane · CB · rank 8
The board fumbled Mansoor Delane all the way to the 95th pick, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R4.7 · Pick 107 · Sonny Styles · LB · rank 21
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Sonny Styles in No. 107, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R4.10 · Pick 110 · Jordyn Tyson · WR · rank 9
Jordyn Tyson in slot 110 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.12 · Pick 112 · Spencer Fano · OT · rank 10
They will replay Spencer Fano at pick No. 112 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.6 · Pick 146 · Akheem Mesidor · DL-EDGE · rank 37
Akheem Mesidor in Round 5, Pick 6 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
R5.9 · Pick 149 · Chase Bisontis · OG · rank 70
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the Round 5 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.12 · Pick 152 · Kayden McDonald · DT · rank 20
Somehow Kayden McDonald was still sitting there in pick 152, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.31 · Pick 171 · Mike Washington Jr. · RB · rank 75
Mike Washington Jr. at slot 171 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
R5.37 · Pick 177 · Romello Height · DE-EDGE · rank 65
Romello Height in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
R5.40 · Pick 180 · Lee Hunter · DT · rank 48
Circle this one: Lee Hunter at pick No. 180 is a fall that decides a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.21 · Pick 202 · Jermod McCoy · CB · rank 18
They robbed the room for Jermod McCoy here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R7.2 · Pick 218 · Kenyon Sadiq · TE · rank 19
Kenyon Sadiq at No. 218 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R7.5 · Pick 221 · Keyron Crawford · DE-EDGE · rank 116
Keyron Crawford at pick 221 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
R7.10 · Pick 226 · Kaytron Allen · RB · rank 146
Steal is underselling it; Kaytron Allen at Round 7, Pick 10 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
