The rest of the league will want that one back. Chase Bisontis tumbling to the Browns in the 107th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Moss pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Job largely done: quarterback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th pick they get a ballhawk on the back end. A real need, handled.
In No. 24 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They went early on Max Iheanachor in pick No. 39, and the value did not follow. A need, and now a little less of one.
Christen Miller at the 70th overall pick is money in the bank, a interior defensive lineman taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Chase Bisontis at pick 107 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Steal is underselling it; Will Lee III at Round 5, Pick 6 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Oscar Delp at the Round 5 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They let Josh Cameron come to them and pounced at slot 206. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Miller Moss in the 248th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
