Some picks age like wine; Jarquez Hunter at Round 7, Pick 26 will need to, sitting 54 spots clear of his grade.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Graham Barton · OT · rank 35
In the 25th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front, reach and all. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · J.J. McCarthy · QB · rank 44
They took J.J. McCarthy at par in slot 41, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Blake Corum · RB · rank 78
They talked themselves into Blake Corum at the 57th overall pick, and the board did not agree. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Sedrick Van Pran · C · rank 92
Sedrick Van Pran in pick 88 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.29 · Pick 92 · Junior Colson · LB · rank 115
Value said wait; Junior Colson in the Round 3 slot says they were not listening. A minor itch, scratched.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · Dallin Holker · TE · rank 133
Dallin Holker at pick No. 125 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · Theo Johnson · TE · rank 148
They paid up for Theo Johnson at the 135th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R6.28 · Pick 203 · Curtis Jacobs · LB · rank 223
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Curtis Jacobs. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
R6.42 · Pick 217 · Noah Daniels · CB · rank 210
Noah Daniels in the Round 6 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Jordan Magee · LB · rank 242
A big swing on Jordan Magee at Round 6, Pick 44, well ahead of any board in the building. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
R7.26 · Pick 246 · Jarquez Hunter · RB · rank 300
Jarquez Hunter at pick 246 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
