When a board-topper like Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint slides to slot 233, you do not overthink it, and the Cowboys did not.
The Raym pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th pick they get a blindside protector. The biggest hole, addressed.
Edgerrin Cooper in the Round 2 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They went early on Audric Estime in slot 87, and the value did not follow. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
