The one they had to fix is still broken. The Dolphins left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Every board in the league had McLachlan lower, and that gap is the story. However the rest shakes out, Cowing at that price is a win they earned.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 21st overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value.
A conviction pick on Bralen Trice at the 55th pick that the board grades a round light. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jacob Cowing is a better player than Round 5, Pick 22 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Ro Torrence at the Round 6 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They paid a round early for Tanner McLachlan in No. 198, more than the board wanted. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 241 with a little surplus value in Edefuan Ulofoshio. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
