Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Packers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Allen has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, Mustapha at that price is a win they earned.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a double-digit-sack hope, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A slide stopped in the Round 2 slot, with Tyler Guyton worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Edgerrin Cooper at No. 41 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
T.J. Tampa in pick No. 43 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Good price on Braden Fiske in Round 2, Pick 26, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Braelon Allen. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Malik Mustapha in pick 168 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Nick Gargiulo. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Fair-plus on Jordan Magee, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
