You could see the war room lean forward. Xavier Worthy at pick 91 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Allen reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
The Milton Williams deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
Olumuyiwa Fashanu in No. 22 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taliese Fuaga at pick 41 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They will replay Xavier Worthy at the 91st pick for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Braelon Allen in the Round 3 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Somehow Tommy Eichenberg was still sitting there in pick No. 169, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Gabe Hall in the 219th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
A tidy bit of business in Round 7, Pick 35, where Josh Proctor graded well above the range. A minor need, but a need all the same.
