The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named edge rusher, a need the Packers walked right past. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Jones Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Stewart. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 16 they get a long-term starter on the line, even if it was a touch early. A clean fit for the roster.
Clay Webb at No. 47 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Value with a capital V on Jabbar Muhammad in slot 78, a genuine coup. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They took Andrew Mukuba at par in pick No. 114, which is nothing to complain about. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A straight-up fair deal on Barion Brown at Round 5, Pick 12, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
No drama and no debate, Quinn Carroll went about where he belonged in the 186th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Terion Stewart slid further than he should have, and the 248th overall pick is lovely value for the running back. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
