You build a draft on nights like this. Johnny Dixon had no business being available in pick No. 226, and the Dolphins did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
If Tagovailoa pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 30 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Payton Wilson at pick 55 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Adisa Isaac in pick No. 89 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nice patience on Khyree Jackson, who had no business lasting to No. 93. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Nothing to complain about; Isaiah Adams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Trevor Keegan at Round 5, Pick 21 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.

Garret Greenfield in the 239th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
