There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Packers never got to the one that mattered most.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Adams. They are betting Crumedy proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Quinyon Mitchell · CB · rank 30
Quinyon Mitchell in the Round 1 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Kamren Kinchens · S · rank 34
Kamren Kinchens at slot 41 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Jeremiah Trotter Jr. · LB · rank 61
They took Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at par in pick 57, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Gabriel Murphy · DL-EDGE · rank 85
Gabriel Murphy in Round 3, Pick 25 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Audric Estime · RB · rank 98
A straight-up fair deal on Audric Estime at the 91st overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · Kris Abrams-Draine · CB · rank 120
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kris Abrams-Draine in the 125th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · Isaiah Adams · OT · rank 126
Nice patience on Isaiah Adams, who had no business lasting to pick No. 135. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R6.28 · Pick 203 · Tanor Bortolini · C · rank 215
They went early on Tanor Bortolini in No. 203, and the value did not follow. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R6.42 · Pick 217 · J.J. Weaver · LB-EDGE · rank 228
A reach on J.J. Weaver in pick 217; the board had better options right there. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Jaden Crumedy · DT-EDGE · rank 232
Jaden Crumedy at pick No. 219 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It fits a board better than it fits this team.
R7.26 · Pick 246 · Walter Rouse · OT · rank 258
The board had cheaper options than Walter Rouse at the Round 7 slot, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
