This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jaylan Ford, the No. 205 name on the board, stolen at slot 245.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Randolph Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Cooper DeJean · CB · rank 26
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Cooper Beebe · OG · rank 47
A straight-up fair deal on Cooper Beebe at slot 41, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Kingsley Suamataia · OT · rank 61
Kingsley Suamataia in No. 58 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Max Melton · CB · rank 76
Max Melton in Round 3, Pick 25 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Gabriel Murphy · DL-EDGE · rank 92
By-the-book stuff, Gabriel Murphy at the 91st pick squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Ray Davis · RB · rank 109
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Ray Davis in the 126th overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.33 · Pick 169 · Ty'Ron Hopper · LB · rank 181
A reach for Ty'Ron Hopper in pick No. 169; a little patience would have been rewarded. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R6.27 · Pick 202 · Keith Randolph Jr. · DL-EDGE · rank 218
They liked Keith Randolph Jr. enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 202. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Trevin Wallace · LB · rank 233
The board had cheaper options than Trevin Wallace at pick No. 219, and it noticed. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
R7.25 · Pick 245 · Jaylan Ford · LB · rank 205
Jaylan Ford at No. 245 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
R7.35 · Pick 255 · KT Leveston · OT · rank 242
A quiet steal in Round 7, Pick 35: KT Leveston for less than the market said. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
