The Packers torched the value chart for Gabe Hall, taking him 47 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
Harris at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
Cooper Beebe in slot 40 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
A clean, defensible pick in No. 60 with a little surplus value in Quinyon Mitchell. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on TreVeyon Henderson. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They read the board right and McKinnley Jackson was the payoff at the Round 3 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took Zach Frazier at par in the 92nd pick, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
No edge and no loss on Jaden Hicks in No. 119; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They paid sticker price for Sataoa Laumea in pick 135, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid up for Jaylan Ford at the 154th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
The board had cheaper options than Willie Roberts at Round 6, Pick 20, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tre Harris in slot 197 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jahdae Barron in the 217th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
A premium they did not need to pay, Omar Speights a notch or two before his time. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Joshua Gray at pick No. 234 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Xavier Thomas at the Round 7 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Value said wait; Gabe Hall in Round 7, Pick 20 says they were not listening. The roster fit checks out.
