You build a draft on nights like this. Conner Weigman had no business being available in pick No. 150, and the Cardinals did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They will need Monheim to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

In slot 10 they get a disruptive interior force. A real need, handled.
They paid up for Deontae Lawson at the 41st overall pick when waiting would have done the job. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
TJ Ferguson at the Round 3 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Value said wait; Jonah Monheim in Round 4, Pick 7 says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
