Nobody else had Trey Zuhn III anywhere near the Round 4 slot. The Cardinals did, by 91 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
Getting Williams where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Jalon Walker in slot 47, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jake Majors at pick No. 78 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Trey Zuhn III at the 113th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Somehow Savion Williams was still sitting there in No. 151, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
