Priorities are a choice, and the Chiefs made a strange one, taking Andrew Mukuba at safety in slot 85 with wide receiver, tight end and other spots crying out for the pick instead.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

In pick No. 32 they get a downhill hitter at safety, though they paid up to get him.
A reach on Tate Ratledge in Round 3, Pick 2; the board had better options right there. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
