The Austin Stogner pick is the one that will follow the Chargers into the fall. They took him 57 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. It is not that Hunt is a bad player; it is that the Chargers had louder needs to answer first.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Malik Nabers in pick 5 is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Quinyon Mitchell at the Round 2 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

No drama and no debate, Isaiah Davis went about where he belonged in the 183rd pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A conviction pick on Trevor Keegan at No. 226 that the board grades a round light. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jeremiah Walker in slot 254 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
