When a board-topper like Kalen King slides to Round 6, Pick 41, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
