They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Michael Penix Jr. is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took James. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

In the 16th overall pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A real need, handled.

Marcus Harris at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
