Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Dolphins were there to profit. Cam Skattebo, the No. 113 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 224.

They will need Roberts to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Greg Van Roten deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
