For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Packers walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 41 with a little surplus value in Xavier Legette. The roster fit checks out.
Payton Wilson at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A straight-up fair deal on Khyree Jackson at No. 88, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Christian Mahogany in the 91st pick is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They took Ben Sinnott at par in pick 126, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
