They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Michael Penix Jr. is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Sainristil falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Xavier Legette in pick No. 34 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
