The Chiefs did not so much draft Kavosiey Smoke as overpay for him, 121 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Sanders at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
