The Cardinals spent real capital to be 55 picks early on Samuel Brown, and the board is going to hold them to it. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Walker. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

In the 17th overall pick they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
The board fumbled Jalon Walker all the way to pick No. 49, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Dillon Gabriel well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Shemar Turner at the 118th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Samuel Brown at slot 152 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
