The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Legette. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 6 they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
You do not let an edge rusher like Chop Robinson reach the 39th overall pick and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Tyler Nubin slid further than he should have, and No. 47 is lovely value for the safety. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Xavier Legette in slot 108, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Roger Rosengarten in Round 5, Pick 4 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Caedan Wallace in the 182nd pick is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Dwight McGlothern slipping to the Round 6 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
