Whoever sat across the table from the Commanders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

That Jones pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Commanders indulged a want in Stover while a need in tight end and running back stayed open.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
