When a board-topper like Bub Means slides to pick No. 255, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They will answer for taking linebacker early while edge rusher, tight end and other spots went begging. Every board in the league had Morgan lower, and that gap is the story.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
