Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Eagles never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
The Rosemy-Jacksaint steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 22 they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A quiet steal in pick No. 50: Tyler Guyton for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
A straight-up fair deal on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at the 53rd pick, value and slot in agreement. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They took Tykee Smith at par in pick 97, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at slot 160 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Jaylen Wright in Round 5, Pick 34, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
No drama and no debate, Grayson Murphy went about where he belonged in the 171st overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
