The rest of the league will want that one back. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint tumbling to the Eagles in No. 171 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd overall pick they get a disruptor off the edge at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
You do not let a cornerback like Quinyon Mitchell reach the Round 2 slot and blink. They did not. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
No edge and no loss on Chris Braswell in the 53rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Good price on Zak Zinter in slot 97, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It fills a real need, too.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Ben Sinnott in Round 5, Pick 24. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They let Renardo Green come to them and pounced at pick No. 170. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board fumbled Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint all the way to pick 171, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A slide stopped in No. 178, with Dadrion Taylor-Demerson worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Michael Barrett. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
