Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Jasheen Davis at slot 173 is 135 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

The Stutsman steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Tetairoa McMillan · WR · rank 4
In the Round 1 slot they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.12 · Pick 44 · Omarion Hampton · RB · rank 15
Omarion Hampton at No. 44 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.12 · Pick 76 · Alfred Collins · DT · rank 59
A quiet steal in Round 3, Pick 12: Alfred Collins for less than the market said. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R5.11 · Pick 148 · Jake Majors · C · rank 93
Somehow Jake Majors was still sitting there in pick No. 148, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R5.31 · Pick 168 · Danny Stutsman · LB · rank 84
Danny Stutsman in pick 168 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.33 · Pick 170 · Kevin Winston Jr. · S · rank 92
They will replay Kevin Winston Jr. at the 170th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It adds depth where they could use a little.
R5.36 · Pick 173 · Jasheen Davis · DL-EDGE · rank 308
Jasheen Davis at pick 173 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R6.11 · Pick 186 · Brandon Adams · CB · rank 224
Brandon Adams in the 186th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R6.34 · Pick 209 · Jalen Travis · OT · rank 264
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jalen Travis this early at No. 209. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R7.32 · Pick 248 · KJ Jefferson · QB · rank 300
KJ Jefferson at the 248th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
