The Cowboys torched the value chart for Jasheen Davis, taking him 112 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

They banked enough surplus on Stutsman to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
