Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cowboys were there to profit. Mason Taylor, the No. 102 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 209. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
Moore has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Steal is underselling it; Luther Burden III at Round 2, Pick 12 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Omarion Hampton in pick 84 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Nick Emmanwori in No. 119, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.

Barrett Carter at slot 170 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They will replay Jake Majors at the 173rd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reach on Trey Zuhn III in Round 6, Pick 11; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Mason Taylor in the 209th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
