The Cowboys spent real capital to be 144 picks early on Jasheen Davis, and the board is going to hold them to it.
They banked enough surplus on Schwesinger to cover a lot of smaller sins. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In pick No. 12 they get a true top target. The biggest hole, addressed.
Malaki Starks in No. 44 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor itch, scratched.
