Hudson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a centerpiece for the ground game at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Nice patience on Malaki Starks, who had no business lasting to slot 44. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Carson Schwesinger in the 76th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They read the board right and Pat Bryant was the payoff at the 150th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kurtis Rourke in pick No. 170 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Oronde Gadsden II in pick 172 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Value with a capital V on Dorian Strong in slot 174, a genuine coup. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

A real head-scratcher, Barryn Sorrell in the Round 6 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Kobe Hudson in the 249th pick, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
