Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

2025 NFL Draft
· 12 picks
· 4 steals
· 3 reaches
The Cowboys did not so much draft Jasheen Davis as overpay for him, 108 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.
That Gadsden II pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 14 they get a workhorse for the backfield, outstanding value to boot.
By-the-book stuff, Tre Harris at pick 48 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They did well to land Carson Schwesinger in the Round 3 slot, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Denzel Burke at pick No. 98 is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A straight-up fair deal on Emery Jones Jr. at No. 117, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They liked Ty Robinson enough to skip the value, taking him in the 149th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Tyler Shough in the 171st overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Willie Lampkin at No. 174 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A quiet steal in pick No. 204: Jaylen Reed for less than the market said. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Alijah Huzzie in the 211th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Steal is underselling it; Oronde Gadsden II at pick 239 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jasheen Davis well ahead of where he belonged. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
