Thirty-one other rooms let TreVeyon Henderson slide, and the Commanders were the ones holding the card at pick 103. Highway robbery. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If Jackson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

They barely believed it either: Colston Loveland still on the board at pick 51. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They liked Darien Porter enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 3 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No drama and no debate, Donovan Jackson went about where he belonged in the 79th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
TreVeyon Henderson in slot 103 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A premium they did not need to pay, Cody Simon a notch or two before his time. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board fumbled Emery Jones Jr. all the way to No. 148, and they scooped it up. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dont'e Thornton Jr. in the 194th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They reached into another round for Cam Jackson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
KeAndre Lambert-Smith in slot 238 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jordan Hancock at the 250th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor itch, scratched.
