Start where it matters. The Patriots took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
Odunze falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
