The Commanders did not so much draft Joe Milton III as overpay for him, 61 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

McKinstry at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
