The rest of the league had time to spare on Cedric Gray; the Eagles did not wait, grabbing him 30 spots ahead at No. 89. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The King value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get an island corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Zach Frazier in slot 53 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Calen Bullock at the 76th overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It fills a real need, too.
They reached a country mile for Cedric Gray at the Round 3 slot, and the board is aghast. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Value said wait; Johnny Wilson in the 92nd pick says they were not listening. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Sataoa Laumea in Round 5, Pick 25 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
No drama and no debate, Dylan Laube went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 35. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Grayson Murphy at the 174th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Circle this one: Kalen King at the Round 6 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at pick No. 233 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
